Congratulations on receiving the Interbay Cinema Society Grant.
The following FAQ will help answer questions regarding the process.
The scope of work the ICS grant covers is film scanning of one hour of footage in total. This allocation is valid for Super 8, 16mm and 35mm formats. A combination of gauges is possible as long as the cumulative runtime does not exceed the 60 minute threshold. Sending more footage than the 60 minute grant allocation is possible but there would be an additional charge. All ICS Grant digitizing is delivered as ONE LIGHT, FLAT SCAN, ProRes 4444 XQ files.
How much film can I send?
The ICS grant covers digitizing 60 minutes of film running time.
1hr of S8mm = 1200ft
1hr of 16mm = 2160ft
1hr of 35mm = 5400ft
Additional film can be sent for scanning, info for pricing.

This provides maximum dynamic range for client color finishing.
All scans are delivered as ProRes 4444 XQ files.
BEST LIGHT color finish of film scans are NOT covered by ICS grant.

How should the film be prepped?
For 16mm and 35mm, preference is the film arrives on 3″ cores.
1200ft with 5ft of leader on head and tail.
For S8mm and 8mm, preference is 400ft reels with 5ft of leader on head and tail.
How are my files delivered?
A formatted 1TB drive will be enough for most projects.
If you ship a drive separate from your film, please include info on the shipment with your name or email tracking number and shipment details.

Files can be posted for download @ an EXTRA charge $0.15 per GB. Files will be available for 30 days.
How do I relay details about my scanning project?
You must fill out our online order form to relay details about your project.
Omitting this step will delay turnaround of your order.
